PROJECT DETAILS

The performance included the following: - Removal of dam protection, - Filling of the lake to the projected level (1,235.00 meters above sea level), - Finishing works on the crown of the dam (asphalting of the sidewalks, installation of the fence and the external lanterns, arrangement of the area from which earth is excavated and the area around the dam that is damaged by the construction works). Overhang of the crown of the dam Leunovo resulted in increased capacity of the Mavrovo reservoir by 32.55 million m3, which is equivalent to the production of new 46.55 GWh of electricity per year. The operation of the Mavrovo reservoir is optimized, in order for the water to be used seasonally, from December to March, when the largest amount of electricity is produced.
