The Municipality of Dolneni, with the Strategy for Local Economic Development, the Program for Local Economic Development and the Program for the Construction, Rehabilitation, Maintenance and Protection of Local Roads, Streets and Bridges in the Municipality of Dolneni for 2020, has paid special attention to the local road infrastructure, as one of the the most important criteria for ensuring the necessary conditions for economic development, improving living conditions, and thereby encouraging young people to stay in rural areas and invest in the development of settlements and the municipality, and thus the region as a whole. In the municipality of Dolneni, as one of the larger rural municipalities, one of the most important criteria is the development, construction and maintenance of the local road infrastructure, which represents a kind of blood stream for progress and economic development. The successful management of the growing number of private entrepreneurs, as well as the development of small and medium-sized enterprises, largely depends on the construction and maintenance of the road infrastructure, especially at the local level. For this purpose, it is necessary to constantly build and maintain it, in order to ensure smooth economic development, social and educational development, i.e. improvement of living conditions as a whole. The local road network is in a bad state, as a result of the unsatisfactory maintenance of the roads due to the lack of finances, mainly due to the weakness of investments in the transport and distribution sector, etc. The main reason for the poor condition of the roads is that each municipality manages different financial capacities, which is why certain municipalities do not have enough financial resources to upgrade/reconstruct the existing roads leading to clinics, schools and markets, so this issue also brings social problems . The existing condition of the streets in the city of Debrešte is in a very bad condition and as such they do not meet even the basic requirements provided for their purposes. Therefore, it is necessary to find a solution for these streets in order for normal, unhindered traffic to take place, as well as to ensure increased safety for road users, to ensure normal and unhindered access to educational and religious institutions, to commercial facilities, sports facilities etc. In one word, to improve the living conditions and reduce the number of people who are leaving the municipality of Debrešte day by day.
